 JOSHUA’S CASUAL STATEMENT

 

As Joshua enters a room, he exudes a relaxed, laid-back confidence and looks. He prefers to wear loose-fitted, casual, checkered outfits that perfectly personify his relaxed style. His favourite brands, which he picks up randomly during his shopping jaunts, are in full view. Today, he’s chosen a soft, oversized, dark checkered shirt in muted earth tones paired with a well-worn, relaxed fit Levi jeans that sit comfortably on his hips. His plain white Adidas sneakers, stylish yet comfortable, complete the look, and a simple, practical, sturdy steel watch adorns his wrist.

 

Despite the envious jabs from friends and coworkers about his admirable wardrobe, Joshua remains unruffled. They joke about him looting a departmental store or receiving gifts from wealthy siblings living abroad. Some even tease that his simple wife must be dressing him, unable to believe he could be such a style connoisseur. Joshua’s collection is a testament to his self-sufficiency and unique taste. He has built his wardrobe piece by piece, with no hand-me-downs or external help, and he wears each proudly.

 

As Joshua navigates his day, he embodies effortless comfort, setting trends without effort. His attire mirrors his personality and life perspective. Handpicked by him, his wardrobe is a testament to his distinct and laid-back character, inviting a sense of relaxation and ease.

    MEMORIES OF MY DAYS AT ST. EDMUND’S SCHOOL   Nestled among the hills, ours was an Irish Christian Missionary School. It was founded by Edmund Ignatius Rice, a great missionary and educationist. The story goes that he belonged to a family of tenants who were into farming. When tragedy struck, and his wife died, he was left alone to care for his daughter with special needs. He sold his elegant house, moved into a stable, and opened his first school. Today, about 800 Christian Brothers in 28 countries run prestigious Edmund Rice educational institutions and follow in his footsteps.   St. Edmunds School had colossal buildings built by the Irish Brothers amidst picturesque settings. The school had three large play fields. It also had a very tranquil and very quaint chapel. Prayers were offered here in the serene atmosphere.
